Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer to play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall quality of our products. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain automated systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems and processes, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and requirements.
  • Create detailed project plans and timelines for automation projects
    Program logic controllers (PLCs), develop and maintain control systems (architecture and documentation) for automated machinery.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis on automation failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to design tooling and fixtures for automated processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
    Utilize software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CGMP to design automation systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams on the operation of automated equipment.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
    • Strong knowledge of automation principles, techniques, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in programming logic controllers (PLCs) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
    • Experience with blueprint reading, machining, and mechanical systems.
    • Familiarity with software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CGMP.
    • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation failures.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
